USA & Canada Lifetime Limited Warranty

KNIPEX Tools LP distributes the highest quality tools for industrial and commercial use. KNIPEX Tools LP warrants this product to the original purchaser against deficiencies in material and workmanship.  KNIPEX Tools LP will repair or replace any tool, which after examination, is determined by KNIPEX Tools LP to be defective in material or workmanship for the lifetime of the tool.  In the unlikely event that the exact type of tool should no longer be available, KNIPEX Tools LP may elect to replace the tool with a comparable tool of equal or greater value, or at KNIPEX Tools LP’s option, KNIPEX Tools LP may elect to refund the purchase price for the defective tool. The foregoing remedies are the sole and exclusive remedies available under this warranty, and in no event will KNIPEX Tools LP be liable for incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits or other economic loss. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

This warranty applies only to the original end-user that purchased the tool and does not apply in any way to failures caused by misuse, abuse, alteration, accident, lack of maintenance, or tools worn out by use.

Warranty claims require obtaining a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number, which may be obtained by emailing or calling the support line listed above, KNIPEX Tools, return of the defective tools, proof of purchase and confirmation from you that you are the original end-user purchaser of the tool. All shipping and transportation costs are excluded from this warranty.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, this warranty is KNIPEX Tools LP's sole warranty for its tools, and is given in lieu of all other warranties and conditions, expressed or implied. KNIPEX Tools LP disclaims all other express or implied warranties and conditions, including the implied warranties or conditions of merchantable quality, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so these limitations may not apply to you.  This LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY gives you specific legal rights that may vary from state to state.

KNIPEX Tools LP neither assumes, nor authorizes any person to assume for it, any other warranty, condition, or obligation express or implied.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. THE LIMITED WARRANTY CAN ALSO BE FOUND ONLINE AT knipex-tools.com/our-warranty.
WE WARRANT THAT DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD (AS DEFINED BELOW), THE PRODUCT WILL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP SUBJECT TO THE LIMITATIONS SET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
WE LIMIT THE DURATION AND REMEDIES OF ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY.  SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEFECTIVE GOODS IS LIMITED TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS DESCRIBED BELOW IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. 

WHO MAY USE THIS WARRANTY?

KNIPEX Tools LP (“we”) extend this limited warranty only to the consumer who originally purchased the product (“you”). This warranty is non-transferable and it does not extend to any subsequent owner or other transferee of the product. We reserve the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers of backpacks and tether bags from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized ecommerce sites.
YOU MUST REGISTER THE PRODUCT WITHIN 60 DAYS OF PURCHASE TO QUALIFY FOR THE LIMITED WARRANTY. ANY PRODUCT THAT IS NOT REGISTERED WILL NOT QUALIFY FOR THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. See https://www.knipex-tools.com/backpack- registration to register your product.

WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY COVER?
This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of the KNIPEX Modular X18 Backpack 00 21 50 LE, small tether bag 00 50 50 T LE and large tether bag 00 50 51 T LE (the “product”) for the Warranty Period (as defined below). This limited warranty applies to original purchases of the product only and does not extend to replacement products.

WHAT IS THE PERIOD OF COVERAGE?
This limited warranty starts on the date of your purchase and lasts for one year (the “Warranty Period”). The Warranty Period is not extended if we repair or replace the product. We may change the availability of this limited warranty at our discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive.

WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY NOT COVER?
This limited warranty does not cover any damage due to: (a) transportation; (b) storage; (c) improper use; (d) alterations or modifications; (e) normal wear and tear; or (f) external causes such as accidents, abuse, negligence, or other actions or events beyond our reasonable control.
Further, this limited warranty does not cover the following: 
•    Zippers, handles, pockets, loops or hardware.
•    Any rips or damage caused by sharp objects (including sharp tools), friction, excessive heat or cold or prolonged exposure to water.
•    Any damage caused by fire, chemical(s) or smoke.
•    Theft of the product or any personal property stored in or on the product.

WHAT ARE YOUR REMEDIES UNDER THIS WARRANTY?
With respect to any defective product during the Warranty Period, we will, in our sole discretion, either repair or replace such product free of charge. 
HOW DO YOU OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE?
To obtain warranty service, you must call 877-564-7398 or email our Customer Service Department at [email protected] during the Warranty Period to obtain a Return Goods Authorization (“RGA”) number. No warranty service will be provided without a RGA number. You are responsible for all shipping and handling fees to return the product to us (“Returned Product”).
Upon receipt of the Returned Product, we will promptly inspect the Returned Product to determine whether the returned Product is defective pursuant to this limited warranty. If the warranty claim is approved, we will repair or replace the product as provided herein. 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AND OUR ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. OUR LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, NOR SHALL WE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT.
SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
